This is only what we know about:
More than any thing, the UN is a savagely anti-United States
propaganda outlet. It is made up primarily of nations that hate or are jealous
of the US. These include Communist and Socialist nations, nations ruled by
ruthless dictators, and various banana republics and third-world nations. These
nations can’t run themselves without US aid.
Which idiots decided years ago to give the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics a
seat on the Security Council with veto power over every major decision of the
body? The same idiots that allowed Russia to take over that seat after the USSR
collapsed and proved that Communism and Socialism are failed concepts.
Most of the member nations of the UN receive billions of
dollars of US aid, but they take every opportunity to revile us and curse us for
not giving them more! They pass resolutions opposing almost everything we do as
a nation, except of course when we give them money that we should be using for
our own people.
Of course, we have allies in the UN, but they are far
outnumbered by the US-haters. All of which begs the question: Why are we still
members of the corrupt organization that hates everything we stand for? Further,
why do we, one of almost two hundred member nations, continue to allow ourselves
to be extorted into providing over half of the budget of the UN?
We do not have the time or space to detail all of the
transgressions of the UN, but have provided an extensive list of articles below
which you can use as a starting point for your own research. If you do just a
little searching, you will find thousands of documents on the Internet which
prove beyond any doubt that the UN is corrupt from the very lowest to the very
highest levels, and that it has never been in the interest of the US to be a
member of the UN.
We will mention some of the items, which are explored in
detail in the Internet Research section below:
The Iraq Oil for Saddam Hussein corrupted Food Program from
the very beginning with the full knowledge and consent of highly placed UN
officials. Billions of dollars intended to feed poor Iraqis were used to bribe
UN officials and heads of state of member nations, including people closely
linked to Secretary General Kofi Annan and France’s Jacques Chirac.
The chief investigator for the accounting firm KPMG (which is
investigating the scandal) is Claude Hankes-Drielsma. He sent a scathing letter
to Kofi Annan on March 3, 2004, in which he called the U.N. program "one of the
world's most disgraceful scams," and said that "based on the facts as I know
them…the U.N. failed in its responsibility to the Iraqi people and the
international community at large."
Kojo Annan, the Secretary General’s son, has for years been
getting kickbacks from companies which received illegal funds from the Oil for
Food Program. The kickbacks only stopped last February, when the scandal became
public.
The UN held its international conference on AIDS in Thailand.
This is very ironic, since trading in illicit sex is a major part of the economy
of Thailand.
Another irony was when the UN removed the US from the Human
Rights Commission, allegedly because our nation mistreats blacks. Our seat on
that Commission was given to the Sudan, which is probably the worst human rights
offender of any nation. The Sudan, a Muslim nation, sells Christians into
slavery. Government soldiers are allowed to rape and torture Christians in the
Sudan simply because they are Christians.
Security Council members France, Germany and Russia blocked
resolution after resolution that would have allowed the UN to deal with Saddam
Hussein before he had the time to hide or destroy his weapons of mass
destruction. Why would they do such a thing? For two reasons. First, because
these nations were making billions by selling WMD’s and materials to make them
to Saddam. Second, because Saddam paid millions of dollars stolen from the Oil
for Food Program (which was administered by the UN) to officials of those
nations to influence their votes.
The UN is investigating itself regarding the Oil for Food
Program. In addition, it is using millions of dollars of money siphoned from the
program to finance the investigation! The new Iraqi government is crying out
that it is bad enough that the UN mismanaged the program so badly that billions
were stolen from needy Iraqis. Now it is using money that belongs to Iraq for an
“investigation” that will surely turn out to be a whitewash of the entire
affair.
Fears that that will be the case have caused Congress to
initiate its own investigation of Oil for Food. However, Kofi Annan has
repeatedly blocked the United Nations from receiving the documents that it needs
to investigate the scandal – even though the US contributes the lion’s share of
the budget of the UN.
Palestinian terrorists to transport gunmen and weapons for
raids against Israel have used UN ambulances. This has been reported for some
time, but last May videotape was taken clearly showing Palestinian terrorists
piling into a UN ambulance to escape after murdering Israelis. At first, the UN
denied this, but after the video was aired, they claimed the ambulance drivers
were forced to help the terrorists. No explanation was given for why the
incident was not reported until after the video was broadcast. By the way,
documentation for this incident and the others mentioned in this article can be
found in the inks below.
UN funds are used to fund programs that most Americans would
find repugnant. These include forced sterilization programs in Communist China
and abortion programs worldwide. Keep in mind that most UN funds are actually
YOUR tax dollars.
Finally, Kofi Annan recently cleared Ruud Lubbers, the UN's
High Commissioner for Refugees of charges of sexual harassment after a woman on
his staff claimed she had been groped by the ageing Dutch former Prime Minister.
The only problem is that after Annan cleared his friend, embarrassed UN
officials were forced to admit that the UN’s own investigation by the Office of
Internal Oversight Services (an internal watchdog) had verified the woman's
allegations in a report to Annan.
We could detail hundreds of other examples of corruption in
the UN in general and the Secretary General’s office in particular, but we are
sure you get the picture.
In conclusion, we can NOT accept anything that the
United Nations says without verifying the facts first to make sure it is not
propaganda. Generally, politicos are exempt from the same laws we must
observe regarding telling the truth, they can lie and it is not a crime.
