U.S. Healthcare Issue
Statement:

The government IS the problem with health care in America.

The roll of government in America (capitalism) is to maintain a level playing field and all players must obey the law.  If this balance is not kept, we have problems in our society.

In America, monopolies are illegal. However, where we allow an exception such as Utilities (Water, Electric, etc.) we have what is called Public Utilities Commission, or something like it to regulate the monopolies.  We as a society allow one other monopoly called Patents; when these monopolies expire, they become the property of the American citizens.  We only have problems in these areas when government fails in regulating these areas.

When the government fails to do its job we then have serious economic problems such as we are seeing with pharmaceutical drugs.  We also have a federal agency failing and needs be eliminated or completely re-organized; it’s the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it is corrupt, this is causing a major impact on our cost of healthcare in America. A small example of the problems with the FDA is in the area of Cancer, see Life-Saving Cancer Drugs Rejected by the FDA.

The other issue is that we have an industry which has been overly socialized by government, and therefore, does not compete. When competition enters, it is interfered with or struck down.  We need our legislators both state and federal to be honest and fix this, we do not need or want government run healthcare (aka socialized medicine or Universal Healthcare, which is substandard healthcare in any honest persons book).  State and National Medical Associations need to be investigated immediately to see if they are complicit in the lack of competition thereby maintaining a monopolistic condition.

If you think the government can run healthcare just take a look at your county hospital system, its rationed healthcare and in California they are killing people, one county hospital had to be closed because of massive incompetence.

No, matter your political party affiliation, and setting aside your thoughts on issues.  We all need to remember what it is to be an American Citizen.  We need to make sure our elected representatives obey their Oath of Office and keep their Oath of Allegiance.  Know whom you are voting for. We need the disingenuous eliminated.
